Information for Property Managers

Every site has a property manager, either a rightful owner or agent legally qualified to hire-out a location for the purpose of filming.

If you own or manage a site that permits filming and/or photography and think it might make an interesting location, offer it for consideration. Production companies pay relatively high fees for location hire. Bear in mind however that film and photo shoots can bring about considerable personal constraints and significant upheavals. On all accounts it is important to negotiate and enter into a location rental agreement (German only). For further information please refer to the property manager fact sheet (German only). As you are not required to make an exclusive contract, feel free to offer your property to more than one location scout.

Cooperation with a location scout provides you with a reliable contact person – before, during and after the production. Having one dependable contact spares you the confusion of being overrun by various production crew members at the outset. Furthermore, location scouts can also be relied upon to inform you when your property is no longer under consideration.
